Packing the suitcase, gathering all the files on the hard drive, making sure I have a warm coat (checked the weather in Stockholm and it might SNOW (!?!?!?) this weekend)... So thrilled to be continuing the journey of this next album.  OH YES!  Check back for regular updates from the studio - get an inside look! 

Got up this morning at the frightfully early hour of 5AM (well, it's frightfully early if you're used to going to bed around 3AM)... Starting to condition myself to avoid the jet lag when I return to Stockholm in a couple of weeks to finish tracking the album... So the pros and cons of early morning - PROS: Johnny made me coffee and breakfast (!); sunrise walk in the park with Mary and coming home with sneakers full of dew; it's always fun to prepare for going into the studio... CONS: I am so delirious, I am not sure which way is up... This gets easier, right?!?!?

Thank you to all of you who came and packed the house last night in LA at Genghis Cohen.  I had such an incredible time playing and was thrilled to see all of you...   Now, I'm focussing on getting ready to head back to Stockholm to finish the tracking of the album!  So it's focus, focus, focus, a little cooking, a little gardening, focus, focus, focus, (a little procrastination), playing, focus, focus, focus!!!

Just scheduled my next Los Angeles show  and you are all officially invited - Tuesday April 17 @ 9PM @ Genghis Cohen!  I will be sharing the stage with Erik Eldenius on drums, Johnny Griparic on bass and John Schreffler Jr. on guitar.  I do hope to see you there!

To all of my LA peeps - Tonight I have been graciously invited to start off the night for Jeff Young's Song and Dance Society at Genghis Cohen.  I will be sitting in alongside the incredible Toshinari Yanagi, Johnny Griparic, and Erik Eldenius.  Also sitting in this evening is the phenomenal Dilana Robichaux!  It should be a great night of music!  So again, tonight at Genghis Cohen - 8PM!

Oh yes... it IS a good day... Any day that I have the awesome privilege of going into the studio and continue work on my album is an AMAZING day... The super-fantastic Teddy "Zigzag" Andreadis is going to lay down some Hammond B3 tracks and I can't wait to hear it.  I'll have to take some photos...

Sunday in LA... we "girded our loins" in anticipation of a huge storm yesterday... And while the wind blew, umbrellas were necessary, and palm branches fell (a pesky aspect of LA storms), the rain was great relief for the garden.  So today there's a cool and quiet lull... Perfect time to make myself a cup of tea and plan the next stages of the album.  Yes, we are in PROCESS!!  Teddy "Zigzag" Andreadis was over at the home studio laying down gorgeous accordion and organ tracks.  We'll do some more Hammond B3 tracks later this week.  Such an inspiration to watch him work.  Next up, is planning for the next phase of recording in Stockholm!  Nothing like Stockholm in the springtime... I promise I will be keeping you updated!
